Ditton Lodge Community Primary School is situated within the parish of All Saints’, about half a mile from the church itself. Many school families have links with All Saints’ church through worship, baptism and toddler group and they are welcomed by the church at their Family services, especially for events such as Harvest festival, Mothering Sunday and the Christingle service.
Ditton Lodge is a community where each person plays an important part. They have a team of very experienced, dedicated staff who know the children well and use their skills to develop each child. They develop their staff as learners too and CPD is built into the school’s ethos.
They endeavour to deliver an enquiry based curriculum where children are involved in the direction that learning takes. The main focus is to make learning fun and ensure that all pupils feel a sense of achievement so that they go on to reach their full potential. The “whole” child is seen to be of great importance at Ditton Lodge and they endeavour to provide stimulating lessons and broad pastoral care for all pupils. They work on the belief that when children are happy, feel settled and are enjoying themselves, then learning will take place.
