Kids For Christ
KFC
Kids for Christ happens every Sunday as part of the 10:15am service, except for on the 1st Sunday of the month in which the All Age Service is designed to be suitable for all ages. (KFC will also take a break during August for the summer holidays)
After sharing in the first few moments of the main service, the children leave for Kids for Christ, They re-join their parents/carers at the end of the morning service, or in time to go to up for a blessing if it is a Holy Communion service.
We have two separate groups based on age. This allows materials to be used more appropriate to the age of children in each group and give more space.
- KFC Minis (Age 2-6) In the Saints Room at the back of church
- KFC (Age 7-12) In the Upper Wiseman room above the creche.
In KFC our team of leaders help the children discover the Christian faith and how to follow Jesus’s teaching in a safe, fun and friendly environment. We use a core Christian teaching program called “Roots” which provides games, music, readings, art and craft focused on biblical teachings running week by week with a general theme. We understand that families cannot make church each week, so to supplement the main, in church programme, digital materials can be provided if you contact us.
We are committed to make our Church a place that children feel safe, valued and excited to come to week after week. All leaders on the team are DBS checked and trained in the Church of England Safeguarding programme.
Please pray for our children and the fabulous KFC leadership team who are helping our children grow in faith and our Church grow younger.
