There is a well equipped crèche room within the main church building for younger children. The crèche is available every Sunday during the 10:15am service for parents/carers to accompany under-5s to play with the toys (please stay with your children for their safety and that of others).
[Note - This activity is currently suspended as part of our response to the Covid pandemic]
Jigsaw is a time of fun 0–4 year olds. It happens every Tuesday and Friday in the church from 9:15am to 11:15am during school term time and less regulalry during the school holidays as well. Jigsaw is a time for parents and carers to meet together to chat while their children play. Contact us for further details.
At All Saints church children are an important part of our church family and they are welcomed each Sunday. Kids for Christ (KFC) is a group specifically set-up to provide kids Aged 3-10 (Preschool to Year 6) with a focused time, as part of the service, in which they can learn together more about Jesus in a safe and fun way.
Kids for Christ happens every Sunday during school term time as part of the 10:15am service, except for on the 1st Sunday of the month in which the All Age Service is designed to be suitable for all ages.
After sharing in the first few moments of the main service, the children leave for Kids for Christ, located in the Saints room at the rear of the building. They re-join their parents/carers at the end of the morning service, or in time to go to up for a blessing if it is a Holy Communion service.
In KFC our team of leaders help the children discover the Christian faith and how to follow Jesus’s teaching in a safe, fun and friendly environment. We use a core Christian teaching program called “Roots” which provides games, music, readings, art and craft focused on biblical teachings running week by week with a general theme.
Understanding that families cannot make church each week, to supplement the main, in church program, digital materials are provided each week on the KFC page of this web site which can be used at home any time.
We are committed to make our Church a place that children feel safe, valued and excited to come week after week. All helpers on the team are DBS checked and trained in the Church of England Safeguarding programme.
